  • Using “Undo Send” in my mail. Adjusting the time limit to the maximum of 30 seconds.
  • Not leaving the mail site, or I Will lose the Undo Send option.
  • How to do quicker searches, by using the words ”sent” and “from” to access or retrieve mail.
  • Using the “archive” option.

Google Hangouts.
  • Created an event on my calendar for Thursday 25 May 2017 @ 7:45am.
  • Named this event “Digital Intensive”.
  • Invited James Hopkins to hangout.

Google Hangouts Follow up.
  • Could not connect initially. ( Google Hangouts denied access)
  • Set up a new event for a different time on the same morning.
  • Successfully connected with James.
  • Initially had visuals but no audio.
  • I then realised that the Activboard speakers were connected. This effectively cancelled out all the sound.

Room 3 becomes a 1:1 Learning Room!

                                                      Room 3 becomes a 1:1 Learning Room!

Term 2, 2017 has seen the introduction of 1:1 i pads in Room 3, Years 2 and 3.
We have enjoyed  learning about the i pads and the kawa of care that goes with the responsibility of managing these digital devices.
We have also enjoyed learning how to take photographs with our i pads.
We learnt, among other things:
  • How to focus, when taking photographs.
  • How to avoid getting too much light in your photograph.
  • Setting up your background.
  • Making the object your centre of the photograph.
  • Avoiding blurry pictures.
  • Removing distractions in the background.
  • Using landscape and portrait options.
An exciting introduction with lots more interesting developments to follow!
